Mindy Skibinski

Treasurer

Mindy grew up on a farm in northwest Iowa. She was the second born of four girls. Mindy spent most of her childhood chasing cows, sheep, pigs, lots of cats and a dog. She and her sisters spent a great deal of time with their grandparents and playing solitaire and UNO. Mindy’s Grandma Shyrl told her at a young age, “weddings are optional, funerals are mandatory.” You show up for people when they need you most; be that a meal, a listening ear or your presence. Mindy has taken that to heart and has made it a priority to show up for people in their time of need.

When Mindy was a senior in high school her family moved to York, NE. After high school Mindy attended three different colleges before graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

In May of 2003 Mindy and her husband Joe moved from Wisconsin to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Joe started his career as a pediatric dentist at Children’s Dental Center and Mindy as a stay at home mom to Mya, Latham, Eliana and Reese. During this time Mindy has been a part of MOPS, Community Bible Study, various parent boards at Bishop O’Gorman Schools and a weekly volunteer at her kid’s school. In 2013 Joe and Mindy moved to a farm west of Sioux Falls. They quickly acquired horses, goats, cats and two dogs. Mindy continues to take care of the day to day and lead a biweekly bible study. She enjoys spending time with her husband and kids following them along in their hobbies from dirt biking to horse shows. She looks forward to her involvement in the Unbroken and Brave Foundation board.
